PAXMAN receives orders for 16 scalp cooling systems to the UK and 10 systems to Italy
PAXMAN announces that the company is noticing a continued strong order flow in Europe in the beginning of 2020, from new customers as well as from cancer centres in the UK preparing to upgrade their older systems. The company recently received an order for 16 systems for the prestigious Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in the UK, and an order for 10 systems to the company’s distributor in Italy.
Leading cancer research and treatment since 1851, The Royal Marsden was the world’s first hospital dedicated to cancer diagnosis, treatment, research and education. Today, ranking in the top five cancer centres in the world for the impact of their research, The Royal Marsden operates from two centres in Chelsea and Sutton, along with a Medical Day Care Unit at Kingston Hospital.
The 16 systems in this order, together with three previously ordered systems, will be used to upgrade The Royal Marsden’s older PAXMAN systems. All of the 16 systems are delivered with capacity for two simultaneous users.
Thanks to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, patients at The Royal Marsden are set to benefit from these 16 new Scalp Cooling Systems across their hospital sites.
The 10 systems for Italy will be delivered to PAXMAN’s distributor PRAESIDIA s.r.l. and will be used to build stock in anticipation of expected upcoming orders.
“It is exciting to be able to start 2020 with a strong order flow in Europe from both existing and new customers. The Royal Marsden is a cancer centre with broad expertise, and we look forward to continue offering market-leading scalp cooling from PAXMAN together with them for many years to come”, says PAXMAN’s CEO Richard Paxman.
