Wind industry veteran Dr Mike Anderson has been nominated by the nomination committee as new member of SeaTwirl's board of directors.

Wind industry veteran Dr Mike Anderson has been nominated by the nomination committee as new member of SeaTwirl's board of directors.
Dr Mike Anderson is one the pioneers in the wind industry and a world-renowned expert in wind resource assessment and wind turbine design. During his early career he designed, built and commissioned a number of large vertical axis wind turbines. He holds a B.Sc. Physics degree from the University of Nottingham and a Ph.D. from Cambridge University. His doctoral thesis was "An Experimental and Theoretical Study of Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines".
After his earning his Ph.D. in 1982, he co-founded RES, now one of the world's largest independent renewable energy companies, and served as Chief Technical Officer up until his retirement in 2017. At RES, he built a very accomplished and talented technical team and did work with on vertical and horizontal axis turbines. During his 35 years, the company grew from two people to become a multi-billion company. Today RES has 2,500 employees and operations in 11 countries. Since 2017, he has worked as an independent consultant and mentor for renewable energy startups. He is currently a director of ZX Lidars and an advisor to Ripple Energy.

The nomination committee consists of Håkan Unbeck (chairman) (appointed by Knut Claessons and Caroline von Otter-Claesson's Foundation), Pontus Ryd (appointed by Solvinvest AB), Mattias Sundin (appointed by Trinova Ventures AB), Charlotte Bergqvist (appointed by Optiga AB) and Dan Friberg, chairman of the board in SeaTwirl.
The nomination committee's complete proposal will be presented in the notice to the extra general meeting, which will be announced by a separate press release.
