NEXT Biometrics (NEXT), a leading provider of advanced thermal sensor
technology, has received 6 MNOK purchase order for its advanced NEXT FAP20
sensors, which are set to be deployed in the growing Indian market. Delivery of
the sensors is scheduled for Q3 2024.
This order marks an important milestone for NEXT, as the sensors will be
supplied to OEM partners in India, where three prominent Indian OEMs are
currently pursuing the prestigious Aadhaar L1 certification using NEXT's
cutting-edge technology. The order represents the continuation of contract
commitments made in the OEM contracts announced in 2023 and 2024.
Digvijay Singh Kanwar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales for India, US,
EU, and Africa, expressed his enthusiasm:
"With its unique combination of Active Thermal technology and robust liveness
detection, NEXT's FAP20 is one of the most secure fingerprint sensors globally.
This purchase order reflects our growing presence in the Indian market, where
our FAP20 sensors are being used by L1 OEMs to create products for the Indian
Aadhaar ecosystem. This new order underscores NEXT's continued success and
solidifies its role as a key player in the global biometrics industry."
