New version of Qlucore Omics Explorer with integrated DESeq2 statistics enables fast in-depth analysis
Nasdaq First North-listed Qlucore, a leading software provider for data analysis and precision diagnostics, launches Qlucore Omics Explorer (QOE) version 3.10. The new version includes an optimized DESeq2 family of methods and statistics, enabling flexible and easy analysis of multi-omics data. Providing enhanced interactivity, the statistical calculations are, as an example, 15 times faster than those performed by R (a widely used software for statistical tests).
QOE is used in research, life sciences, food tech, plant science and biotechnology, and at universities. Users of the software can view and analyze data in a simple and interactive way. Tools and methods for data analysis are selected based on user needs. The results can then easily be presented to colleagues and collaborators.
– “This latest version of QOE is estimated to be at least 15 times faster for DESeq2 calculations when compared to R, which helps researchers get fast and actionable results”, says Carl-Johan Ivarsson, CEO of Qlucore.
QOE 3.10 has several new and useful features. Speed and performance are improved with optimized and native DESeq2 implementation. The DESeq2 family of statistical tests and normalizations are intended for so called count-based data, such as that produced by next generation sequencing (NGS) techniques. In addition to the tests, uninformative data points can be removed before analysis by independent filtering, strengthening the power of the tests. The software also benefits from a new wizard for data import and a new data transformation tool for visualization. In summary, the new 3.10 version provides users with a faster and more comprehensive tool for multi-omics data analysis.
