Nexstim operates in medical technology. The company has developed a non-invasive brain stimulation technology called SmartFocus®. It is a navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation (nTMS) technology with 3D navigation providing targeting of the TMS to the specific area of the brain. The technology is aimed for the treatment of major depression and chronic neuropathic pain. The company was founded in 2000 and has its headquarters in Helsinki.

Thank you @Jatast for your clarifying question. Regarding the communication of Brainlab equipment sales, we operate in accordance with our long-term partnership agreement. We aim to communicate these as distributor sales whenever possible, without revealing business secrets, meaning we cannot individually disclose the number of devices sold to Brainlab or Sinaptica at this stage of our agreement. The total number of devices delivered to all our customers (including those delivered to Brainlab) will continue to be reported four times a year, i.e., in Q1 and Q3 business updates, and in H1 and H2 earnings reports. As long as the same trend continues until the end, that deals made by distributors in the Brainlab area are not announced. Brainlab has so many sellers and so many ready customers that it would be really strange if not a single deal were made.? It has also been stated in the interview that as distributors gradually withdraw, inquiries will subsequently be directed to Brainlab regarding the distributors. I don’t believe that inquiries would have ceased during the transition phase; rather, Brainlab has handled those nascent leads like a baton pass, smoothly bringing them to completion with X sales volumes thereafter.

Based on announcements and my calculations, 31 machines have been delivered or ordered this year. Correct me if I calculated wrong. Regarding these speculations about the announcement and sales of diagnostic devices, the last deal that I believe could fall into the Brainlab category was made on October 7th. The others are Nexstim’s own deals. I must say that I am slowly starting to interpret the CEO’s statements in the latest interview to mean that Brainlab’s deals are not being announced. I find it highly unlikely that Brainlab would make zero deals and Nexstim seven. However, Brainlab has been heavily exhibiting the device at trade shows, and the NBS6 device has certainly been anticipated on the market. @Mikko_Karvinen_Nexst, is it possible to clarify/confirm what you said in the interview, that for competitive reasons, Brainlab’s deals or Sinaptica’s machine numbers are only announced in reports?

My theory is as follows: Terveystalo has now purchased two devices to update the NBS 5 devices that came with Recuror to the latest generation of devices, as their own staff will be trained at these two Terveystalo locations. It makes sense to update the devices used for training to the same device version that will be ordered for other clinics in the future. Otherwise, those Recuror’s NBS 5 devices would still have had remaining lifespan. Recuror was founded in 2021 and the devices have a lifespan of 7 years.

It was not directly mentioned in the press release, but the only Finnish private operator that has had two old devices in use has been Recuror, which Terveystalo acquired last summer. So, Terveystalo will also continue with Nexstim devices, and now we await the expansion of treatment offerings to Terveystalo’s locations across Finland. There is undoubtedly demand among insurance and occupational health customers. Additionally, it is likely possible to alleviate the burden on the public sector through service vouchers.
