Exel Composites is a manufacturing company. The company manufactures and markets compound composites that are used in demanding industrial environments. In addition to the main business, lamination and extrusion are also performed. The largest presence is in Europe and Asia with customers in the manufacturing and aerospace industries. Exel Composites was founded in 1960 and is headquartered in Vantaa. 

Onko joku järkeillyt sitä, että miten tuon strategian liikevaihto- ja tulostavoite lasketaan? Firmallahan on JV Intiassa ja sieltä menee osa (50%?) kaikesta tuloksesta ja liikevaihdosta muualle. Onko niin, että nämä sisältyvät EBIT-tavoitteeseen, mutta ei osakekohtaiseen tulokseen? Vai miten menee? Lähinnä mietin nykyistä osakekohtaista hinnoittelua strategian tavoitteiden valossa.

The Swiss composite materials company intends to “right-size” its business, decrease indirect expenses across the company, and focus on accelerating growth in several industrial segments.

Vaikuttaisi, että tuulivoimamarkkinat kokonaisuudessaan olisi piristymässä 2025, vaikka epävarmuustekijöitä riittää. ”Notwithstanding the recent U.S. election results, we are encouraged by the near-term demand we are seeing from our customers and therefore, anticipate continued revenue growth for TPI in the U.S. in 2025. We expect this growth will be supported by blade lines operating at near full capacity throughout 2025, along with the planned reopening of our Iowa blade plant by mid-2025. While the past nine months have presented challenges, we believe we are strategically positioned with the right customers and blade types to thrive in the U.S. market for years to come. Although it is too early to assess the impact of the outcome of the U.S. election, many analysts believe that if President-elect Trump tries to roll back the current administration’s climate agenda including the IRA in part or in full, U.S. wind and solar sectors will remain resilient due to a strong state level support including significant renewable manufacturing investment in red states, increasing private sector demand for power that will dictate an all-of-the-above approach to capacity deployment, and a relatively strong Republican support in Congress. Turning to Europe. Long-term onshore market growth remains in sight. However, these markets are dealing with many of the same issues as in the U.S., namely inflation, permitting, transmission, supply chain disruptions, and labor availability. Historically, we have serviced the European market from our plants in Türkiye. However, the hyperinflationary environment that we have experienced in recent years in Türkiye is not expected to subside anytime soon and although we can pass some of the incremental costs to our customers, these incremental costs make us less competitive into the EU as well as less profitable. Furthermore, while we have competed successfully with Chinese blade manufacturers for years, their recent aggressive push supported by the Chinese government to expand their capacity for Europe has added to the challenging competitive environment for supply into the EU. Unlike the U.S., which has implemented tariffs and generous tax loss to encourage near-shoring and domestic manufacturing, the EU has not yet taken as aggressive an approach to help level the playing field for component suppliers like TPI. Nordex our largest customer in Türkiye has eight production lines scheduled to expire by the end of 2025. Additionally, they have two lines in India that expire at the end of 2024. Nordex has informed us that they will not renew the two lines in India. However, we have already replaced those lines with two lines for Vestas.”

Guritin osakkeen hinta näyttää nyt olevan nyt aika tasan tarkkaan 6% 2021 arvosta. P/S(2023) alkaa olla outokumpuluokkaa - tai itse asiassa noin 2/3 outsan vastaavasta,  jos ihan tarkkoja ollaan. Harmi ettei sveitsiin ole ainakaan postimiehen mitenkään helppo sijoittaa. Kyllähän tässäkin alkaisi jo käännepotentiaalia löytyä. Tosin sitä kyllä pysähtyy miettimään ihan samalla lailla kuin Exelinkin kohdalla, että missä kaikessa oikein mättää. Ovatko kaikki möröt jo esillä. Onko esmes materiaaliteknologiapuolella meneillään jokin disruptio, mistä ei olla puhuttu tms. Mihin se pultruusiomarkkina oikein katosi?

Tässä on Aapelilta tuore yhtiöraportti Q3:n jälkeen.  Exelin Q3-luvut olivat operatiivisesti varsin hyvin linjassa odotustemme kanssa ja siten Q2:lla alkanut orastava tuloskäänne sai jatkoa. Sen sijaan vaisua markkinatilannetta peilaten yhtiön uudet tilaukset jäivät matalalle tasolle, minkä lisäksi lyhyen aikavälin markkinanäkymät säilyvät melko vaatimattomina. Tätä peilaten laskimmekin hieman kasvuennusteitamme, mikä heijastui myös negatiivisesti lyhyen aikavälin tulosennusteisiimme. Mielestämme osakkeen hinnoittelu on tällä hetkellä linjassa epävarmoihin näkymiin peilattuna, minkä myötä osakkeen riskikorjattu tuotto-odotus jää riittämättömäksi. Kokonaiskuvaa heijastellen toistamme Exelin vähennä-suosituksemme, mutta laskemme tavoitehintamme ennustemuutosten suuntaisesti 0,35 euroon (aik. 0,38 €). Rapsasta lainattua: Kuluvan vuoden ennusteissa lievää laskupainetta absoluuttisesti Laskimmekin nykyistä markkinanäkymää ja Q3:n vaisuja saatuja tilauksia heijastellen hieman loppuvuoden liikevaihtoennustettamme. Tämä heijastui myös operatiivisiin tulosennusteisiimme negatiivisesti yhtiön osin kiinteää kulurakennetta heijastellen. Sen sijaan alarivien suuremmat muutokset selittyivät Q3:n toteutuneilla luvuilla.
