Proact IT Group AB (publ) announces weaker system sales and thus a lower result for the fourth quarter compared to the same period last year
Proact IT Group AB announces that sales for the fourth quarter of 2024 are expected to decrease by 10-15 percent and adjusted EBITA by 20-30 percent compared to the same quarter last year. The deviation is explained by a temporary decline in the systems business and a continued challenging market in Germany.
After several quarters of good growth in Proact's systems business, lower systems revenue is expected in the fourth quarter compared with the same quarter last year, particularly in Business Unit Nordic & Baltics. In addition the German market remains challenging, which affects Business Unit Central.
Therefore, the company's sales in the fourth quarter are expected to decrease by around 10-15 percent and adjusted EBITA by around 20-30 percent compared to the same period last year.
Except for the weak German market, the negative development in the quarter is of a temporary nature. Demand for the company's products and services remains good and the value of new cloud contracts in the fourth quarter has developed positively. The market is expected to continue to develop well in the coming quarters.
"After a number of good quarters, the year ends weaker. Historically, we have seen that our systems business can vary in volume between individual quarters and unfortunately we see a sales decline in the final quarter of an otherwise positive year. However, we see a strong demand for cloud services during the period.. We continue to see a positive market for our products and services in 2025," says Jonas Hasselberg, President and CEO of Proact IT Group AB
