Bilia divests the truck business regarding Mercedes-Benz
Bilia has today entered into an agreement to divest the trucking business regarding Mercedes-Benz to Veho Oy Ab. The divestment concerns the truck operations at eight facilities located in Stockholm, Södertälje, Norrköping, Överhörnäs, Umeå, Skellefteå and Luleå and concerns the sale of new and used trucks with associated service operations. In the last two years, the business that is being divested reported an average turnover of approximately SEK 620 million and an operating profit of approximately SEK 30 million. The purchase price amounts to SEK 213 million on a debt and cash-free basis. The divestment is subject to approval by the Swedish Competition Authority and access is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2025.
As communicated during Bilia’s Capital Markets Day in November 2024, Bilia is carrying out a business review and in light of this we are now divesting the business that was acquired 2021. Bilia continues to be a full-service supplier in Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and vans.
